Good drainage and regular watering make this clumping spreader easy to grow and versatile in borders， along driveways and sidewalks or as a ground cover or container plant. Highly attractive when massed around the base of trees or tall shrubs or filling in gaps between shrubs. Glossy purple-black fruits follow the flowers in fall. Grows to 2 ft. H and wide. Prefers moist， well-drained soil. Looks best with supplemental water during periods of drought. Provide part sun to shade. Flowers summer to fall. Hardy to Zone 6/minus 10°F.
